We’d like to share with you why apprenticeships fit right into the culture of JDP.

One of core values is:  Team, put simply, we believe in the power of people. So whether you’re a customer, supplier or a member of the Team, you’ll be valued and respected.’

We believe that by investing in our team we are living by this value, there are plenty of initiatives for young people today yet it is no secret that the skills gap in our industry remains to be a challenge. Apprenticeships are one of the most innovative ways to respond to the skills shortage and as such we’re proud to bring apprentices into our team.

Working together with local schools and colleges, we’re delighted to create opportunities that will directly benefit the communities we work in. Apprenticeships is just one of the ways we work at bridging the gap between education and industry.

Meet Paige.

Paige has been working with us over the past year as our office administrator apprentice in our Sheffield office, she has been studying for her NVQ Level 2 Certificate in business administration and she gained her accreditation in May this year.

“I really enjoy working at JDP and towards the completion of my apprenticeship. I’ve gained insight into a new and interesting career which touches upon many aspects of work within the running of a busy office, I am really looking forward to using my newly learned skills to help keep the office here in Sheffield running smoothly.

 Meet Thomas.

Thomas is our Apprentice Roofline Technician and is studying joinery and carpentry at the New College Durham.

“I enjoy working for JDP because the staff are friendly and supportive. Not only have they given me an opportunity to start a great career but they have also paid for me to get the qualifications I need.”

We couldn’t be more pleased with the efforts that Paige and Thomas bring to our team, we would like to congratulate Paige on her recent achievement and we thank them both for their hard work and commitment to JDP.
